100 jaar oud en steeds vol lewe Op 29 Augustus 2018 het die VRV honderd jaar oud geword. Die besondere mylpaal is gedenk met ‘n reeks feesvierings in Kaapstad, Pretoria en Johannesburg. In dieselfde gebou waar die Vereniging in 1918 gestig is (oorspronklik die Suid-Afrikaanse Biblioteek, nou die Kaapstadse kampus van die Suid-Afrikaanse Biblioteek), en op dieselfde datum waarop die stigting plaasgevind het, is ‘n uitstalling geopen deur Najwa Hendrickse, hoofbibliotekaris en bestuurder van inligtingstoegang in die Biblioteek. VRV 100 Ons is aan die begin van die honderdste jaar van ons bestaan, met ‘n nuwe naam in die vooruitsig en verskeie eeufees-aktiwiteite wat reeds aan die gang is en ander wat binnekort sal begin.
